This was a great satire about the connections between colonialism and capitalism, and how these two concepts affect the life of everyday, poor people. In particular, we follow a strong woman that wants to break away from those forces and has lost all fear. Also, I would recommend the introduction of the penguin classic edition, it talks more about the choice of the author to write this in gikuyu and the. Translate it to English.
