I gave it an hour. And I just couldn’t continue.

Free Audible download. I just put this on as I was getting work done. I wasn't worried about missing anything but still able to have something to listen to. It was okay at best.. there were some funny parts but mostly it was not really something I'd listen to. I would have DNF if I was truly looking for a book to immerse myself in.

I am laughing at all the other reviews of this novella. I thought it was a lovely addition to the Mystic Bayou series. You can read this book as a stand alone but you really shouldn't. It seems that a lot of people were confused about the magic system that Harper has going and that is understandable when you have only read this one book. I love that Rob got his own story and it was fun to revisit old characters.

It was a cute and enjoyable story. This book is very short, but cute. It is about a tree Nymph who moves from New York to a magical city in Louisiana. She is very introverted at first but later warms up to her fellow magical creatures. She is a complex lady.

Even Tree Nymphs Get the Blues is a tale of starting anew and finding love. This is a sweet novella that takes place in the quirky town of Mystic Bayou. Ingrid Asher is a tree nymph and once she relaxes and gets to know the folks in Mystic Bayou she might even like it. This story tickled me and left me with a smile.

Back in the day I used to read romance novels by the bucket full, but now not so much. I will, on occasion, make an exception and read paranormal romance. This is one of those exceptions. A delightful one too I found.
It started as a nice short novella to listen to so I could get some extra book and pages added to my yearly count but found a funny and warm paranormal romance. I like when I get pleasant surprises like that.
I liked Ingrid, the main character and tree nymph in the title. She's forging ahead with her long life, is abrupt and really doesn't want to make friends or have relationships but discovers it won't be easy to say no to the ones that are available in Mystic Bayou.
I liked that I laughed throughout the book. I will get more of this series.
I can definitely recommend this book, series and author.

Cute and short. Good filler till my audible credits filled up and didn't have time to hunt and peck the library resources.

Read this book as one of my free audible originals for the month. Like the concept but not the execution.
