I absolutely loved this book. The lead female character is SO relatable. You'll feel embarrassed for her one minute, then upset for her the next. I felt so many different emotions reading this book, and definitely recommend having tissues at the ready. This book was filled with twists and turns, and was most definitely not what I was expecting, in a good way. Loved this book, and highly recommend it.

I've been a fan of Carey Heywood's writing since I discovered Him/Her/Them and the Carolina Days series. I was excited to hear that she was starting a new series.
The thing I always love about Heywood's writing is how her tone is so conversational. I always feel like I am chatting with a friend who is telling me a story as I am reading. These characters are so real! I wasn't sure what to expect when I read the blurb, and was worried I might be turned-off by what I thought would be a typical love triangle, but the story ended up being so much MORE than I expected. There are layers to the story that make it so much deeper. And now, Jake is definitely on my Book Boyfriend list!
I was so excited to find out at the end that there is another book in this series being released later this year! Cannot wait!

I always feel bad when I rate a book low. I know the time and love that goes into them.
This book sounded great from the summary but that was the only thing great about this book. The fiance angle was so bad and so not believable. Characters were poorly written and all sounded like complete morons.

I loved the story, but...
Oh, how I wish Mrs. Heywood would have talked to a native Dane just to get a couple of things straight...
As a Dane, I can tell you there is something wrong with both Erik's family name and the whole travelling thing... That is just not how we do things in Denmark.
But those things aside - It really is a great story!

3 stars, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either, it was just an OK book for me!
I read this book to prepare myself for the series that is Love Riddles!! You meet this shy twenty-something pair of BFFs. Kasey and Reilly are BFFs and Kasey is in love with Reilly's brother Jake who works on an offshore oil rig. Jake come home to their small town to visit when everything hits the fan. This is a very sweet, beautiful and heartfelt unspoken love story.

I really enjoyed this book.
It was heartbreaking, with so much love and disappointment packed in.
The timing was well thought out and the plot was pretty good... A little cliché... But that's why I read it... We all love a bit of cliché sometimes.
I wasn't a huge fan of Heath and personally I think he's a douche, I know that's the idea - we're supposed to love Jake and root for him to be with Kasey - but I'm unsure about reading the next book because it's his story.
