This book was incredibly cheesy, full of stupid clichés and just so annoying. The first part was alright, but when they fell in love I couldn't bear it anymore and only skimmed the next pages.

I really like the beginning of this book. I enjoyed learning about Sadie's life and really felt for her. However towards the middle and end of the book I felt that Sadie's mature and grown up nature was ruined. You would think taking care of your mother that always sleeps around would teach her that heartbreak wasn't that bad. After being in her first real relationship with a pop star she knows it will soon end. But when it does end she crawls into a deep dark hole that I thought her character should never have gone down. I thought she would rise above it all and go back to being the mature woman she was. My hopes were not met and Sadie became a crying love sick teen that I hate to see in teen romance books. Why need a man who keeps saying you won't fit into his world. Well I for one would not cry over him. Sadie just cried and cried and was to me, annoying. Even at the happy ending I still felt like she was sad and will always be a little bit sad because she won't see her pop star as much as she wants. I'm glad a read this book but I'm also glad I didn't have to spend $9.99 but only $5.99 on an eBook. I will still look forward to reading Abbi Glines other books included in the Sea Breeze series and hope that the female characters grow more than Sadie did.
3.5 stars. I love the other books in the series (I read them back to front) but this one just didn't hit it for me. I did enjoy it, it was a good short read, IMO it's just not on the same level as the other books, so bare that in mind.

This book should be renamed “most girls” bc that’s the entire courtship between the h and H. Most girls would want my autograph...most girls would be slipping me their phone number...you’re not like most girls. How is it flattering that he’s constantly comparing her to other girls. Maybe I’m just the wrong audience for this book. I probably would have liked it if I had read it in junior high but it felt shallow now.
Sadie White's summer job isn't going to be on the beach life-guarding or working at rental booths like most kids her age. With her single mother's increasing pregnancy and refusal to work, Sadie has to take over her mother's job as a domestic servant for one of the wealthy summer families on a nearby island.
When the family arrives at their summer getaway, Sadie is surprised to learn that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, one of the hottest teen rockers in the world. If Sadie hadn't spent her life raising her mother and taking care of the house she might have been normal enough to be excited about working for a rock star.
Even though Sadie isn't impressed by Jax's fame, he is drawn to her. Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax but he fights his attraction. Relationships never work in his world and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. By the end of the summer, Jax discovers he can't breathe without Sadie.

*siiiiggggghhh
simple as that.
This, kinda reminds me of Boys Over Flowers- when Jandi was hired as Junpyo's personal maid. Only, JJ is totally different from Sadie and Jax.
Jax is an artist, deep and sweet, whereas, Junpyo is a mosochistic and insensitive guy. And, Sadie is sweet and polite, on the other hand, Jandi is tough (physically) and unromantic.
Nothing fancy, really. The plot was pretty predictable, but I couldn't help but swoon in every part of it.
The story was really simple.
Sadie's mom, Jessica, got pregnant by some guy. With her condition, Sadie took her job as a servant for this really rich family.
Little did she know that the America's most popular teen rockstar, Jax, spend his summer in the house she needs to work for.
Having a tough life and all, she claimed to have no time ogling for celebrities on the TV, including the very handsome Jax.
So, working for him doesn't bother Sadie much, not until they set eyes on each other. Living in a two different worlds, both of them know that
they need stop whatever they're feeling because no matter how much they want each other, it's pretty obvious, it won't work.
It is really unfair to have someone as perfect as Jax to live inside a novel. He sings. He plays guitar. He's freakin' good-looking. And he is genuinely nice and superbly sweet.
I can't blame Sadie for falling for him. I like both Sadie and Jax. Also, they are not frustrating to read.
This book is perfect for those who love ideal love stories. It's good to read something like this if you were really stressed out and needed some comfort.
I can't erase the stupid grin on my face after reading it. Literally, sa-wooooon. I super enjoyed it. And, I must add, I appreciate the songs written by Jax for Sadi- romantic and sweet.

The relationship Jax and Sadie shared was nice to read about, however, I felt like I was waiting for something to happen that never did, and for that I have to give it 3 stars.
I loved the idea behind it , but it just felt like thing happened quickly , like the fell in love quickly , loved quickly parted quickly ...
