This was just way to cheesy for my taste. I'm not a big fan of instant-love-at-first-sight-at-the-age-of-seventeen kind of stories. Did finnish it in about 24 hours though, so it weren't all that bad.

Finished the Rosemary Series and had to start the next!!! Could not wait!

2.5/5 stars.

I'm kinda grossed out, but I listened to the whole thing. What does that mean?

My emotions while reading this:
awwww this is cute and so easy to read while still being good.

o wow...it's cliché but ummm.. i can't put it down.

omfg jax and sadie are just soooooooooo adorable together that i don't care about the cheesy stuff.

i want to stab her mother in the face.

hearrrrttbroken....

crying happy tears...

AWEWWWEEEEEEWWWWWWW HUGS AND STARS AND BUTTERFLY KISSES AND UNICORNS.

yeah. it was pretty much like that.

3,5/5 Anders dan ik had verwacht, maar wel weer heerlijk want het is Abbi Glines

Steamy romance, but I didn’t love the writing. The story line was fine, but the way Jax talked about himself was just annoying and stuck up.

I started realizing it really was like a cheesy, young adult romantic movies about 31% of the way in – the kind you see on television that is neither good, but not bad, either. It’s predictable and has the kind of insta!love, for lack of a better word, that I’m not a huge fan of. I’d rather have a build-up to a romance, but if we must have a quick romance, fine… I’ve given books chances before. Why stop now?

Quick romance. A flaw, but OK. As long as there’s likable characters. Not so much in this novel. Sadie, the lead, is… beautiful to everyone but her. (Where have I heard that before?) And in addition, Jax, the love interest, is popular, handsome, and jealous when Sadie’s friend (who also has a crush on her) tries to discourage further interactions with Jax. We’re going to have a problem when you don’t like the primary characters and the romance. In fact, the only character I seemed to like was Ms. Mary, who’s probably best described as a tertiary character than a secondary character. (Marcus would be a secondary character, but even then, he was ambivalent; when the primary characters’ likability was low.)

Here’s an example of what I mean. In this scene, Sadie’s friend, Marcus confronts her for ‘dating’, which I use very loosely at this point in time, a popular celebrity after what feels like a few days (the romance actually lasts the summer) saying that it is inevitable that her heart will be broken by the end of the summer, yet she doesn’t care. She then says:

“I put the last potato back in the bucket. ‘It’s too late now, Marcus. I love him. I no longer have a choice.’”

Safe to say, I kept rolling my eyes a lot in this. It's fine, just not my taste.

For a debut novel, not bad. A little too cutesy at times...

this was a cute read. great story but a little too PC for me. for what it was I thought it was great but I can't wait for the new mightier version :)

The coolest part about this book is it is set here where I live. Although, she calls the island Sea Breeze, it seems as if she is basing it off Dauphin Island, Al. Some differences though.

I liked the book okay. It was a pretty easy read but found myself losing interest several times throughout. There is no development of the chemistry between the main characters for me. She starts her job, he sees her, he has to have her. That is how it went for me.
