Wow! Breathe was breathtaking, I loved every word of it. The idea of having someone to be your “air” was romantic, steamy and sweet. Jax and Sadie were the highlight of the book, every other detail was a bonus. I have to say I’m hooked and that I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series. Reading one of Abbi’s books helps you to forget life for a while. Her writing is so good, I’m excited for Because of Low.

This was a fantastic audiobook. Really loved it and can't wait to listen to the second book

It was just okay. A bit clichéd. Marcus got on my damn nerves. It was a little too sickeningly sweet at times and I found myself cringing at some of the dialogue.

It gave me something to do at least. I've read worst but definitely read much better

Let me start off by saying that this book is CHEESY. It could be a good summer read if you are looking for something sweet and fast with a lil smut to get you going, and not interested in investing a lot of care or brain cells into anything. If you want a romance with a little more bite and substance, I would suggest looking for a different book. While I don’t think this book was awful, I do think that the writing, plot, troupes, and characters are so juvenile that the book should only be read if you are in high school, or (if you are older) read on a beach somewhere with a strong drink in hand.

This book has all the trappings of a sickly sweet YA contemporary summer read, complete with insta-love, bad boyish type lead, bff love triangle, insanely gorgeous girl who thinks she’s plain but makes everyone swoon, romance with a time limit by the beach. The only kicker with this book is that there is a decent smut scene that kinda seems out of place in such a “teen” book. I’m assuming this is meant to be New Adult, but I don’t know what twenty-something year old is going to take this book seriously.

Our main character Sadie is that typical girl. You know the one I’m talking about. The girl who doesn’t think she’s special thinks she’s plain and boring; meanwhile, everyone is losing their shit about how drop dead gorgeous she is but she acts surprised by that reaction. When I was younger I didn’t think much about this plot device, but now that I’m older I can’t imagine anyone above the age of 15 being this naive. All the other characters are stereotypical and troupey. Jax, the main boy, is as cookie-cutter teen heartthrob turned loyal lover. Marcus is the typical best friend who wants more and can’t get his way. It’s all very bland and easy.

Sadie’s home situation was the only part of the book that was interesting and I was genuinely worried for here towards the end of the book because of what happens. But again, that part of the novel was the only intriguing section and it was glossed over at the end in favour of the romance.

Overall, this book was just ok…bordering on oh hell no. It was a quick, light, read. Don’t go into this expecting much and you might enjoy yourself.

Abbi glines is one of my favorite authors and I decided to give this series a try. I'm sad to say it wasn't up to par with her Rosemary beach series. I liked the story line and the characters but it happened to fast for me. They met and just instantly fell in love. I wanted him to have to work for her more. She caved to fast. It could be I just was t in the right mind frame to read this right. Or but it was to mushy gooy for me. Don't get me wrong I love sweet romance but there was nothing else to this story. I was disappointed and would have liked to see more.

It's really good, I enjoyed the story and entertaining. The lines are beautiful, sweet and cute, a bit annoying on some parts though.
I like Sadie. She's Natural,Beautiful, Responsible, Independent and Hardworking but sometimes she forgets time for herself.
As for Jax, he's a cheesy rock star. He may be popular, but he fell in love on a girl who is ordinary and simple. I like that.

Thumbs up for this book, but there are questions in my mind left unanswered. Looking forward on the second book. :)

CHEESY CHEESSY CHESSY

I hated Sadie's mother. how can a person be that selfish? She acts like she's the teenager and not the adult . She teases her daughter, makes her work ( her daughter is just 17 and not yet an adult) and hitches about her. She doesn't go to work, stays at home and wasted the money Sadie earns.

Phew...Now that the rant is over, I liked the other characters. I loved Sadie, Jax, and especially Marcus. I liked that it was wayy too cheesy (I'm a sucker for sweet love stories). Who won't love a rockstar who sits with you and sings for you for an entire week while you are in coma? This book gave me Cinderella vibes though especially at the end.. Sadie was Cinderella, Jax was her Prince Charming, Ms. Mary was the fairy godmother, her mother was the evil Stepmother..

I loved the book!
