dnf @ 70%.
I think I carried on for so long with this one because it had some wonderful Christmas vibes and I was pleasantly surprised by that as I only picked this up for buzzwordathon and not because I remembered a thing about it. however the characters had almost tagline personalities, like old caretaker or bosses son, and beyond this they failed to grow or gain depth. there's a really big cast of characters in this and without depth it's super lackluster. the plot is also all over the place I actually have no idea where this is heading or what im waiting for, and I know it's bad when im dreading picking up an audio book that has less than two hours left and a lovely narrator.

This felt very different from her Vergiss Mein Nicht and Silber series but Iquite enjoyed reading about the hotel in the mountains. I do wish the magic of the house would have been explained a bit more.
