I found this book interesting. I am currently exploring Zen in my own way and I really liked how this book incorporated pieces of Zen and the authentic voice of the author. I liked that he discussed his challenges and struggles. I did feel the ending was abrupt, but that is how life goes.

Very interesting book that shows a glimpse of life in a Zen monastery. Also a very good introduction to Zen philosophy.
