Oof. This was a much harder read than I expected it to be when I first started. A really good read and one of my favourites but trigger warning for anyone who’s had an angry male figure with a very short fuse in their lives.

Jacqueline Wilson yet again writes a gritty and realistic novel with lovable characters, drawing, a baby's television program, and some home-made cookies. Beauty, as a main character, is a emotionally raw and kind character.

Enjoying remembering my childhood

This was always one of my favourite JWs as a child, mainly because I really identified with Beauty's low self esteem issues. I've made the cookies from the recipe at the back many times and they always go down a treat.
