I was in the mood for a cheesy romcom but this one was too much cheese lol. I felt like there wasn’t much comedy or much build up with the romance. The characters felt kind of flat to me. They were kind of just in love with no explanation.
I also didn’t like the whole Olly subplot. It had no relevance to the story, wasn’t fleshed out and it kind of felt like it was just there to add pages.

"The American Roommate Experiment" by Elena Armas is a contemporary romance about a woman named Rosie who finds herself in a bind and ends up sharing an apartment with a charming and enigmatic neighbor, Lucas. As they navigate their unconventional living arrangement, romance and personal growth ensue.
Strengths:
Chemistry: The dynamic between Rosie and Lucas is engaging and full of chemistry.
Humor: The book includes witty and humorous moments that enhance the reading experience.
Weaknesses:
Predictable Plot: The story follows familiar romance tropes, which may feel predictable to some readers.
Overall, The American Roommate Experiment is a fun and heartwarming read with strong romantic elements and humor.

Kind of cheesy, really slow. Took me FOREVER to get into and was not worth it. SO many common romance tropes shoved into one book, bad plot. No thanks
