this book was so stupid. I HATEEE FAKE DATING like that’s so unrealistic to me like why would anyone go on fake dates and pretend to love someone like it’s either you date them fr or not.
i just honestly don’t care about all the characters in this book- all their problems were not real issues and they were all so creepy ESPECIALLY ROSIE what an absolute FREAK. not only did she stalk lucas but months every single day but SHE ADMITTED IT ONCE THEY STARTED FRICKING LIKEEE EW DON’T ADMIT IT. i defo preferred the spanish love deception because at least they were going places rather than just from one apartment to another IN FUCKING NEW YORK. like this book was literally a shittier version of beach read and daydream. i think what i just don’t like is when the fmc is an author because that shit gets so repetitive. I’M NEVER READING ABOUT A BOOK ABOUT FAKE DATING EVERY AGAIN. although i think a couple emily henry books has fake dating in it 😀😀😀😀
Listen, was the male character believable with all those cheesy one liners and seemingly perfect personality? Absolutely not. Was I entertained? Absolutely.

I just could not finish this book and I tried to read it twice. It's just so slow and so boring which is so disappointing because I did enjoy this author's debut.
