Delightful. I thought the side story with Dean and Posey was really sweet and very funny. I gotta say, I’m very nervous about where they’re taking Susan and McGraw’s storyline. But I’ll reserve judgement on that until the next volume.

This was a nice collection of very different stories. The situations were too real, and the character development is slow but steady.

Still such a fun series. I could do without the Dean plots and there were weirdly quite a few typos in this volume, but overall I’m still loving these comics.

I loved Esther "storming the barricade," the MMPORG wedding (priceless!), and the McGraw phone! Oh, and Night Hospital, too.

The girls better stay in college their whole lives. The alternative is too sad. I heart this series so much.

So this review is going to be the same for Giant Day’s volumes 6-10 because I read them basically one after the other over the course of a couple days. While there’s always an overarching plotline to the series, each volume is made up of shorter issues, so it’s hard to do individual reviews for each story. But overall, these volumes continue the hilarious lives of Esther, Susan and Daisy at college. Daisy has her first love who’s getting on the other girls’ nerves. Susan and McGraw have started seeing each again, secretly at first. And Esther is facing finding a new place to live as Daisy and Susan plan to move out, and is grappling with her feelings knowing her friend Ed is in love with her. I love this series so much. The art, the dialogue - it all makes me laugh. Can’t wait to continue reading...

I read all fourteen of these collections back-to-back over the course of about a week, so I can't speak to the volumes individually. It had a bit of a disjointed start (partly because there's a volume called Early Registration which I should have read first), but once Allison had established the characters and their quirks, everything fell into place and I couldn't get enough of Esther, Daisy, and Susan. It's a slice-of-life comic about three women in university, with a wicked, wacky sense of humor, and it feels like a YA title, but this 49-year-old dude enjoyed the hell out of it.

Somewhere along the line I became a person with a favorite comic, and Giant Days is it. It reminds me of Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl in some weird way. Yay!
