Great ending to a superb story. Suspense imagination and fine storytelling.

The final book in Robert Jordan's epic fantasy series Wheel of Time. No spoilers here - just a little retrospective. I started reading in WoT series in university. The first book captured by attention, even up to the 7th book. After that the story meandered and diverged. The last three books tried to take all the threads and weave them together to culminate into an "epic" ending. I'm glad the series is done...it's been nearly 19 years since I first picked up the Wheel of Time. My favourite character at the end was Mat, then Perrin. The female characters were never my favourites, except maybe for Faile. I hope that someone picking up the books now will enjoy them as much as I did. To start over again with fresh eyes now...

Finally through all 12,000 pages and am thinking that while the story is a good story with *lots* of story arcs, sub plots and side stories, the whole series could have used better editing.

Final book is better, with much better direction and flow. It ended the series on a good up swing.

After such a long journey, I felt that Sanderson fell down. If you've gone this far, you have to read the last book, but I found it confusing with so many battles. It seemed to me that Sanderson was just trying to fill pages. There were soooo many characters to keep track of, and in the end I'm didn't feel that I knew what had happened to them all (Maybe it was just me.). But like the Game Of Thrones, I didn't feel the ending was satisfying.

I am giving this two stars because honestly I am frustrated.....frustrated that after fourteen books, thousands of pages and about a year of my life I still get no real closure.

Yes, there was an end but characters were left hanging for me & as a lover of stories this makes me angry.....
