Beautiful love story. Loved the author's writing style with her anecdotes that added insight and humor to the story.

I'll be honest and say I wasn't really sure how I felt about this book in the beginning, but by the end, I was really happy with the book.
The story follows Angie, a medical student, who is undergoing major life transitions: creating boundaries with her parents, balancing med school, falling out with her bestie and dating. She meets Ricky and though the story does follow their relationship, I don't exactly see this as a romance novel. I think of it more so as a self discovery of who Angie is and is becoming, with romantic elements.
If you enjoyed "Yinka, Where Is Your Husband", I think you would enjoy this.

this was… nice, i suppose. i haven’t read any medical-romance books before so this was an interesting introduction to the subgenre but sadly, i never felt particularly attached to the characters or the overall plot sequence. even the romance came off very haphazard to me, and well, boring. and so at no point did i really care how this book ended, as long as it did end, because the whole thing just got.. so tiring to read.
i did, however, appreciate all the medical jargon; nothing can endear me to a book like a shared languor from the usmle first aid books. thank you to avon books for the arc:) 2.5/5

I really enjoyed this romance.!
The culture was interesting, i really enjoyed it, the different ways it can be interpreted is also an interesting conversation in this book!
The main character felt real, and she was strong and confident, but very aware of her weaknesses which is such an amazing trait.
