This book was not entirely what I was expecting. I was super excited to read this after reading Love and Gelato, and figured it would be the same cute love story. I was surprised that the love story was something completely different than I imagined. It is SO cute that it focused way more on sibling love and friendship love than actual romance! Definitely recommend trading this, it’s a such different story than you usually see (or at least in books with the name love in the title) and it’s take on how to get over heartbreak is really sweet!

Not what I was expecting, but still an easy read.  This book is more about sibling/platonic love rather than romantic love.  I read Love & Gelato and loved it so much, but Luck has way less romance.  Overall easy read and has its qualities. 3.5/5

I liked most aspects of this book better than it’s Italian predecessor, but I really hate the way a major trauma for one of the main characters is portrayed. That brought the book down for me. Overall I enjoyed it though. I’m such a sucker for a light-hearted travel com.

"Hearts break open until they stay open. It's what they were made to do. The pain? It's part of the deal. A small exchange for the wild, joyful mess you'll be handed in return."
This book was a lovable whirlwind of a story set in the Emerald Isle. I read Love & Gelato last month to test Jenna Evans Welch's writing and see if I liked it. I did this mainly because I didn't want to spend time on an author whose writing I didn't enjoy. But here we are: I gave Love & Gelato 4 stars, and I'm giving Love & Luck 5 stars. The way the story simply flowed - Addie's relationships, being in Ireland, character growth and development - had me hooked from beginning to end. And the ending was the emotional release that I needed just as much as the characters.
"Labels aren't big enough for people. And once you try to categorize someone, you stop looking for who they actually are."

There were a few minor things I thought were a little silly, but I really enjoyed the story and the character growth and the focus on sibling love.
