Was this comic everything I wanted after Civil War? Heck yes it was! If you don't know, I am a huge Captain America fan, he's my favorite Avenger. I was curious what had happened between Civil War and Infinity War, especially after the trailer. I had MANY questions about the state of certain characters and how they got to certain places. I was so happy to be able to have some of my questions answered in this comic. It was great to get an insight into what is happening between these two movies especially with the characters I love. I can't wait to see where this comic is going to go in the second volume.
I enjoy these preludes. They sum up the events leading into the films that are relevant. I think this one has been my favorite so far of the preludes that I have read.
Interesting to see a little bit more behind the scenes, sweet short and nice but not really that insightful.
I dunno. It probably isn’t really worth the 5 stars, but I do love the prequel to the Infinity War movie, and tbh I also love anything to do with Thanos and when the cosmic entities and celestials are involved. So it was a fun collection to read.
THE TRIGGER WORDS DON’T WORK WITH BUCKY ANYMORE I AM SO HAPPY
Trying to know what is happening in the Infinity War movie! It's a lost cause.
Really the first story was the only one that interested me. The Strange one was basically a recap of what had happened in the universe. The rest of it I didn't need since I was only interested in the MCU.
Anything I can get to add more to this story, I take. The prelude gave me bits of info that I'm glad I got. Don't think the average MCU fan will miss out if they don't read the prelude to Infinity War.
While the back half of this might confuse people who are solely invested in Marvel by the path of the MCU, I would highly recommend the first half to anyone. The first half literally picks up where Civil War & Dr. Strange leave off AND has Wong walking you through which stone is which and what does what - it's a handy guide to Marvel's most ominous hand-covering! The second part is WAY out of continuity even with the MU at present, but does provide a lot of Thanos background. So, yeah. Useful, but not required, supplemental material.
