If you are going to read this one make sure you have read The Perfect Marriage. This is a squeal even though it is listed as a standalone. I have read the first one but it has been years so I had to really think back on that one since this book builds off of it.

I enjoy Jeneva's writing style and the stories she creates. The narrators are all unreliable and you don't know who to trust. However, this wasn't my favorite of her books and fell a little flat for me. I liked seeing the same characters from book one and where life has gone for them. I just guessed the plot pretty quickly and guessed most of what was going to happen.

If you are a fan of the first book it is worth reading this book to see where everything ended up for the characters.

SAVAGE! I think I need a third book. But I hated the narrator for Bob, especially when he did the female voices.

“To me trust is like glass. Once you break it, you can’t put it back together- and even if you tried, you’d end up cutting yourself in the process. So, you may as well just throw it away.”

I say this a lot, but I do support women’s rights and wrongs. The Perfect Divorce is the sequel to The Perfect Marriage and picks up exactly where it leaves off- with Sarah continuing to pick up the pieces after her cheating husband is convicted of murder. Her life seems perfect, until it isn’t.

I was satisfied with the ending of The Perfect Marriage, but that said, I think this was a really good and interesting sequel. Sarah Morgan is both nonchalant and completely unhinged and I absolutely love that for her. This book has a lot of moving parts and twists and was satisfying to me in the end. All the puzzle pieces come together so perfectly. The ending is a little predictable, but the pathway to the end is definitely not.

this was so much better than the first book. i never would have thought there would be a sequel to it, so when i saw this i was very curious. it was the perfect sequel, and i actually really hope there will be a third book. this kept me guessing page after page; one minute you think you know what's happening, and the next your theory is squashed. i can't wait for the story to continue!
