This was my first book by this author, and it was... okay? I felt the first half was unnecessarily tedious, especially the minutiae of prison life. That said, there was a neat little twist that some will enjoy (though I did guess it).

Freida does it in a smaller fashion. You have a women who’s on Death Row for killing her husband in a house fire. She thought he was cheating. The twist at the end twisted.

Yeah not really sure how I feel about this one. The book had its ups and down as far as what type of book it wanted to be an just when I thought I had my bearings and saw where I thought she was trying to take the story, she's switched things up at the end and left me pretty confused. Luckily this was only like 70 or so pages so it was a quick read but hopefully Freida has more proper twist and turns in her next full length book so I can wash the taste of her last two releases out of my mouth.
