The graphics were cool, just like the book. Had a fun time reading this.

I am not a huge fan of graphic novels, except when they are adapted from Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy. I have been a huge fan of this series from day one and I am always chomping at the bit for more. If I have to get more through the graphic novels of the stories I have already read, than I will. It’s really cool to see a long book turned into half of that and in pictures and you still get the whole story. I loved it and I can’t wait for the rest to come out. Anything that is by Richelle Mead, I am a huge fan of.
You get Rose and how she feels about Dimitri and her seeing the ghost of Mason and the Strigoi attack where they lose Dimitri. You get all the action and pictures to go along with it. For me it couldn’t get any better and you can read it all in one day! If you read the original book Shadow Kissed from the Vampire Academy series then you know what happens, and it’s the same in the graphic novel. If you haven’t I suggest you read the Vampire Academy series first then get into the graphic novels and watch the movie too. It’s not as good as the books- no movie is- buts it’s pretty good!

A great way to remind myself of the goodness that is Vampire academy series without actually having to find the time to read it. It lacks the witty humour that Mead has in her writing though.

I’m sad that they didn’t continue with the graphic novels. I’m lucky to obtain them in the first place as they are out of print. Definitely the best out of the three graphic novels and it makes me really want to read the novel series again!
