I'm happy to have finished a book that I've heard so much about. Let's just say that 15 year old me would've LOVED this book. A little predictable, in addition to a lot of stuff happening, that felt like for no reason. It came together a lot more at the end. Some good twists at the end though. The last 20% of the book had me more intrigued. (3.6 stars)

I was not expecting to love this one as much as I did! I thought the world and the story was very fresh. I know a lot of people have said that they’ve seen it before but I haven’t so it was really fresh! I also don’t understand everyone hating on it as much as they are. It was honestly a really good story and everyone just wants a reason to hate something. I loved this one so much that I had to immediately get the second one to keep living in this world! I can’t wait to see how Grim and Isla grow because I 100% believe they are it! I will not accept Oro being endgame even though he has been very precious!

I struggled to connect and stay interested for the first 200 pages. BUT she hooked me - I eventually fell headfirst and plowed through the second half. I will read #2.
