“Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived without them.”

The Deal
is the first book in the Off-Campus series, a series that follows the love lives of four hockey players. This is the story of Garrett and Hannah.

Although this is the first book, this is the book that sold me on the series. Its a light, funny story, perfect for summer days. I truly recommend this story and the whole series!

Basic romance. Very cute. Deals with rape and sexual abuse. Good smut, still to little. Guys, take notes from Garrett Graham. If all of you would act like him, the world would be a better place.

I think if a book is going to contain details of SA/Domestic Abuse & Mental Health Disorders- an author TW forward would be appreciated.

This is a “pool book” & maybe 2/5 spice or about medium spice.

It’s about what you’d expect for a college sports romance. It’s was a quick read.

I've it wasn't for the older covers..I wouldn't have picked this one up....seriously..what's with the chick on that table????>..>...anyway

We follow Hannah and Garrett's story: She's a music major and he's a talented hockey players with pedigree.

Trope: fake dating to get someone else's attention;

Content warnings: mentioning of rape; Heroine is a rape survivor (sorry for the spoilers but not everyone wants to re-live painful memories, even if it's done well); abusive parent; domestic abuse; victim blaming

For me, this book was amazing! I truly enjoyed both our MCs..which is rare 0_0
Loved how the relationship developed slowly and with care given Hannah's past (the way in which Garrett helped her put the horror that happened behind her was touching).
Enjoyed the hockey in this one and how that impacts someone's life choices! ^^
Liked Hannah's personality a ton!!!!! She was sooo sure of herself and unafraid to face on both Garrett and herself when needed ! 0_0
Loved the support they gave each other as friends AND as lovers!
THANK GOD, FOR THERE'S NO DRAMA IN HERE!!!!!>..<

What I didn't enjoy as much was the home situation for Garrett..his dad was something...let me tell you...>..>...but at least the 3rd act came together well enough! ^^ I kind of wanted our MC to win a battle..I guess...IDK..>.>

Overall, it was sweet, cute and spicy; low on angst and immaturity, with sports/music being a big part of the story( I LOVE THIS!!!); all done with great banter and friendship between or MCs!

Highly recommend if any of those things above sound good to you!
Enjoy

These books are junk food. You know they are bad for you, but you crave that dopamine rush of emotions. They always use the same recipe, and you crave the nostalgia. I feel like this book is a bit better than other book sof this genre. I love the charcters that are so cliche it is unreal. The not so fun part about Hannah was interesting. Towards it all the setting of this university isn’t bad and I actually enjoed the Ivy league setting.
Some things I wish were better
- chracters outside the main mc combo(felt like the other charcters deserved some more spotlight)
-throwing arounf the word rape in casual convo(even Hanah doesn’t like it)
- less cliche moments(it was so predictable)
-better expalining of hockey games(as someone with zero knowledge of hockey, I was floating a cloud of words full of unknown terms during the hockey teams)
-the sexual content was fine, typical of this genre(
I find it hilarious that Hanah was so concerned with not being able to orgasm during sex. Like girlie that is most of us. Like 60% of women don’t orgasm during sex, but can do it alone.  The sex was just a bit unrealistic, I mean orgasming multiple times is very rare according to my research. ALso the “it’s too big for me” comment is so cliche like really when will start normalising normal genitalia sizes, it’s so unrealsitic. Also, the you’re so tight, like really… Overall, I thought they wre tolerable </spoiler)
