This book too me by surprise. After the first few chapters I thought I would be too annoyed by the writing to finish, but decided to give it more of a chance because I like hockey romances and fake dating so much. The writing is actually really good, witty, and realistic. There was no miscommunication or eye rolling “just be adults” moments, like most romances. The spice was pretty good, but I will say “my sex” when referring to a vagina really bothers me and is used by Elle Kennedy. But really this book had me laughing and smiling. I loved the banter and the realness of the book.
I loved that all the drama of the book was not normal romance plot devices that usually really bother me but instead about Hannah’s recital/sexual assault stuff and Garrett’s dad <\spoiler>.

fake-dating, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers and good spice (chapter 24 I believe)

This book is so good. Garret is one of the best men he makes Hannah feel safe and never forced her to do anything he also fell first. Hannah and garrets relationship is gold. There isn't to much sports stuff that's it's  just a sports book. The boys also have such a good friendship that's so supportive.

hello new guilty pleasure read!! 😮‍💨🤌🏼

I seriously squealed while reading this book … SQUEALED! and laughed and smiled and teared up - it was the absolute perfect blend of emotions we have to stan

hannah and garrett hit SO many tropes (and favorites of mine thank youuu): fake dating, one bed, enemies to lovers, guy falls first

like please just unalive me it’ll be less emotional 🫠

the story follows a typical collegiate romance story with a “will they won’t they” followed by a third-act breakup (🤮) - but the DRAMA y’all I was so here for it

I normally hate the very dramatic side characters who seem absolutely determined to ruin the MC’s life - but everyone just fit so perfectly with the story!!

and from someone who has gone through similar situations as hannah, thank you. thank you for making us seem seen and unbroken. healing is a long road, but it’s so wonderful to see yourself in characters’ trauma as well 🫶🏼

I will now be devouring the rest of the series thank you very much
