This was legitimately one of the worst books I’ve read. I can understand why some people like it, but between the poor writing, the gross relationship, and the tropes, I just couldn’t get into it. I will say, Archer’s backstory was interesting, but Bree was very unlikeable. Their relationship gave me the ick. It felt like Bree was really taking advantage of an almost child like person. The author wrote Archer like he didn’t know anything about sex or relationships but this man learned everything through books and there’s no way he didn’t read on that. He almost seemed mentally stunted but he only had a physical disability. If the roles in the relationship were flipped, people would not be as into this book. I have a lot of thoughts, mostly bad, about this book. I often forgot I was reading about two twenty two/three year olds because the author had no idea how to write characters that were young in this day and age. Her depictions of a seven year old Archer read like a complete adult as well.

This book was super sweet, almost too sweet. Between the whiplash of the plot and the over the top cheesy lines, I am left scratching my head as to why everyone has been fawning over this book, ESPECIALLY THE "PLOT TWIST" at the end. I ended up at a 2 star rating though because the spice was okay and I did really enjoy the disability rep.

Reading the special version with the author's notes sprinkled in throughout the pages gave me more insight and I think I ended up enjoying the book more than I would've if I'd read the regular version. The notes spoiled a little ("Hold on just a little longer, Bree") and gave reassurance ("Please trust me and finish the book") as well as talked about the process of some scenes or quotes, I really loved it. The story itself was an emotional rollercoaster, one page I was throwing the book across the room and the other I was giggling uncontrollably. There was some overly specific intimacy, but the author included it well. I highly recommend the special version, it brings a lot more to the experience. I was fully screaming at the epilogue & extended epilogue, my neighbors could probably hear me.

Loved it especially the very angsty and emotional dialogues but also the fact, that the two main charcters actually communicated with each other

Gotta admit it was to much smut for my liking, but that's just a personal thing because I picked this book up for the angst

Also quite some comments about "male scent", "male instincts", etc..so if you ont't like that and can't ignore it mybe not the best choice for you

"God, this man. He was going to kill me with sweetness overload."

I stayed up late last night because I could not put it down. I am usually wary of viral books, but this book deserves it. This book will have you giggling with hope and crying for justice.

There are a lot of heavy subjects that Bree and Archer have to deal with which makes my heart ache for them. They found each other at a vulnerable time in their lives and they each gave each other space to heal and learn how to trust again while still allowing feelings to develop.

I despised Victoria, she was cruel to a CHILD.
I couldn't imagine how bad his uncle felt in his last days knowing he was convinced by Victoria not to allow surgery that would have given Archer a chance to speak again. Let's not forget how she helped her son, Marcus, rape Alyssa. She was just rotten to the bone.

When you think history will repeat itself,
Archer goes on a journey to find himself, and his independence and I think in that moment he truly saved himself from having to experience what his parents went through.
It was fascinating to read how Archer worked through his emotions and thoughts. It truly made me love his character! I loved Bree for being patient with him and
sticking through it because she knew he was worth it. She saw the potential even when he couldn't see it yet.

Truly a beautifully written story with raw moments that will leave Bree and Archer in your thoughts after finishing the book.

I went into this book without any details. I'm glad I did.

Watching Archer and Bree fall in love was beautiful. Seeing them face their own trauma was heartbreaking.

The story is so tender, and I love both of them so much.
