i am so confused
ive been waiting to read this for years and idk if its just because i had high expectations but this was such a let down, i liked some parts but overall the plot is all over the place and the way archer is treated at times is so infantilising
i literally hated the third act twist never mind the 3 pages where they make you think his died for some unknown reason
im glad ive read it because like now i know but glad it was on kindle unlimited and not something i actually bought :/

Archer and Bree's life stories are absolutely heartbreaking but their journey towards healing was beautiful, sad, and inspiring all in one. I couldn't put this book down. It consumed me wholly. 🥹 Sometimes all it takes is one person to see you and believe in you to change your entire world.

This book will make you laugh and cry and feel love for certain characters.  Not to give anything away but the characters have gone through so much in their past and they see themselves as broken.
One of the main characters are running away from the hardship thay they have experienced because they dont want to face it. And the other main characterhas kept themselvesin isolation, not wanting to be social and just wants to hide from everyone.
I would consider some aspects of the book quite relatable when it comes to self doubt and needing reassurance from the people you love and care about. But then it's so beautiful because it shows you that love has no bounds or limits. And that you shouldn't settle for less. And I think Mia Sheridan, author, really made that clear with her chatacyer development of Archer and Bree. (main characters)
Also you will get to a part of the book where you don't want to read it anymore. Like you will put the book down and say no. But trust me finish the book. It's so worth it.

I liked the plot but the writing style was less than desirable. Sheridan couldn't think of any other word besides "bitch" to describe mean-spirited women, kept calling Archer a "strong, silent boy," and Bree kept calling it her "tummy" instead of "stomach." The language was annoying. Also, Travis, the main antagonist, could not have been written as a more cliche d-bag. Also, for a book called "Archer's Voice," Archer's POV wasn't really featured. Bree seemed to think she could save Archer from his incredible trauma, which was just stupid.

I regret holding out on reading this book for so long. First off i absolutely adore both Bree and Archer. I adore their strength and their chemistry. Their backstories are so heart breaking. I felt the kicking feet, toe curling and blushing happiness, The “i wanna punch something” madness, and the absolute sobbing sadness. This book was everything and it’s easily a 5 star for me!

But why did Mia have to include “ilu” in their texts?? that was the only thing i actually cringed at.

"God, this man. He was going to kill me with sweetness overload."

I stayed up late last night because I could not put it down. I am usually wary of viral books, but this book deserves it. This book will have you giggling with hope and crying for justice.

There are a lot of heavy subjects that Bree and Archer have to deal with which makes my heart ache for them. They found each other at a vulnerable time in their lives and they each gave each other space to heal and learn how to trust again while still allowing feelings to develop.

I despised Victoria, she was cruel to a CHILD.
I couldn't imagine how bad his uncle felt in his last days knowing he was convinced by Victoria not to allow surgery that would have given Archer a chance to speak again. Let's not forget how she helped her son, Marcus, rape Alyssa. She was just rotten to the bone.

When you think history will repeat itself,
Archer goes on a journey to find himself, and his independence and I think in that moment he truly saved himself from having to experience what his parents went through.
It was fascinating to read how Archer worked through his emotions and thoughts. It truly made me love his character! I loved Bree for being patient with him and
sticking through it because she knew he was worth it. She saw the potential even when he couldn't see it yet.

Truly a beautifully written story with raw moments that will leave Bree and Archer in your thoughts after finishing the book.

4.5 stars** As advertised, this is one of the top 100 romances on Goodreads. Yes, it was a page-turner. Yes, it kept my interest and felt like a wholehearted ending to a love story. And there were some steamy scenes. But the characters were frustrating at times & sometimes I felt like saying "coulda warned ya!"
And one last thing: why (WHY!) does every single chapter have to mention Bree getting a shower (either alone or with Archer)?! She comes home from work and showers. She showers before going to Archer's. She showers when she's sad & when she's happy. It's great to know Bree is always clean & follows basic human showering routines but why must it be mentioned in EVERY.DAMN.CHAPTER?!
