This book made me realize how much I love single mom. I’m usually alllll about the single dads… but this was so good.

Elliot is top tier. The way he took care of Catherine and baby Joey was everything.

There were so many sweet and thoughtful moments. I absolutely loved them.

This is the third book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first two yet and still enjoyed this!

Boss x Assistant
Single mom
Grumpy x Sunshine
Forced proximity
Curvy FMC
Billionaire MMC

I absolutely loved this and read it so fast. It just had everything it needed to have from a witty fun fmc to an understanding mmc to a cute baby and an office setting. I absolutely loved their love story and how they ended up together. I also loved getting to see Catherine’s individual story and her journey through motherhood and I enjoyed that that part of her story started at the beginning. I loved that Elliot was always taking care of her and thinking of her and Joey before himself and I loved his relationship with Joey. I liked the setting and the pacing and the only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because I didn’t get that 5 star feeling. But this was so fun and so fast and just so good.

When I tell you I loved this book then you have not heard enough because i LOVED this book. Elliot was everything i could have wished for and Catherine was realest woman i read. Their love was so real, so raw and their chemistry was just. incredible.
I read this in one day and I have no regrets, the plot was great, the characters loveable and their romance was everything to me. I will gladly buy the paperback.

What got me to read it:

When she's his assistant & he realises that she's pregnant,

So he gets everyone in the office new comfortable chairs & a spa card only for her to help her relax.

But she tells her co-worker: "If he really wanted to get me something I could use, a gift card for Target would have had me singing his praise. Do you know how many diapers I'm going to need?"

And he overhears her, so she returns to her table to find a Target gift card worth 'One Thousand Dollars' with a note saying,

"Catherine,
Something useful to go along with the luxury.
The spa card doesn't expire. Use it when you
have the time, even if it's three
years from now.
Congratulations on your impending arrival.
I should have said that sooner.
-Elliot"

An overly sugary sweet book with no substance and off-putting smut scenes. The book was marketed as a Grumpy/Sunshine trope, but aside from the MMC being a stoic CEO who valued efficiency at the beginning, there was nothing particularly grumpy about him. He lost his stoicism as soon as he left work. The FMC was frustratingly naïve. She constantly misinterpreted Elliot's obvious interest in her, and her lack of backbone was aggravating. She let others decide her actions. She didn’t want a child, but her friend persuaded her to have one. She readily accepted her boss’s offer to live with him instead of taking control of her own life.

The writing felt extremely lazy. The author constantly told the characters' feelings and thoughts instead of letting the reader infer them. There could have been more conflict between Catherine and Liam, but the author chose the easiest and most convenient way to resolve Liam's role. The storyline was scattered, feeling like there were 100 different plots crammed into one book. By the time Elliot and Catherine had kissed and essentially started a relationship, there were still about 20 chapters left. For what purpose? Additionally, there was a notable lack of chemistry between Elliot and Catherine. They seemed more like close friends who were just thrown together.
