Imagine one thing if you did it or not could change your life that's what happens to Becca Calloway, If you liked Sliding Doors film staring Gywneth Paltrow and how her missing and not missing the tube train and how it affected her life.

This book has the same plot after a manifestation ceremony where she states that she is ready for Marriage and a baby, her ex Mike texts her after five years after breaking up in one reality she texts him and starts dating him again in the other where she didn't text she meets someone new at a dating event.

The book was hard to follow intially only because I forgot what it was about and after I realised the POV changes from texted back and not it was easier to follow.  How does Becca fair in each POV does she fall in love as she hopes.

i really loved the concept, but once i could tell how it would end i wasn’t so sure -
i felt essentially no connection to carlos and he didn’t seem to have any real personality until suddenly he was the main love interest??

Becca is more then ready to meet mister right. She in her thirties, has an established business, good friends but she’s ready for the one. At a manifestation ceremony she puts this out there and a few minutes later her ex Mike texts her. He’s the one that got away but should she go there again? From here the story breaks up into two paths one where she texts Mike back and another where she doesn’t. And the reader gets to follow along with both paths.

Mike and Becca have history, he moved away for work which lead to things ending without resolving things. Now he’s back and dealing with some pretty heavy stuff and Becca tries her best to be there for him. In another universe Becca instead meets Noah. He’s a younger novelist and their relationship is passionate moves rather quickly.

I find the multiple universe theory to be very intriguing. And it does make for a really interesting storyline. I imagine I would have liked it even more had I not recently read Maybe in another life by Taylor Jenkins Reid because there are many similarities between the two. Except for the endings. I don’t want to spoil anything but I’d like to think you could find love in many different ways and places.

In Lovestruck you do get that happily ever after feel but it felt a little rushed and out of the blue. Becca just seemingly out of the blue realized her true feelings. I understand why the author decided to write the ending like that.

Something I loved is Jia Li and Carlos, Becca’s friends and coworkers. They’re such a fun group! I would recommend this one to those who like contemporary fiction and romance. A solid 3,5 stars in my opinion.
