Firstly, thank you Netgalley and to the writer/publisher for allowing me an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have to admit, I haven't read many books that follow a sliding door structure but this book was great. Really enjoyed this book with emotionally intelligent characters, a green flag MMC and witty, in-depth story telling. This book explored how a decision can send your life down a different path and how we are faced with endless decisions that can alter the way our life goes.
A great book to introduce me to LJW- can't wait to read more by her.

Finished it, but it did not live up to the original format which I was led to believe it had!
It follows two possible storylines - easy to keep up with- good for a fluffy read.

This is my 5th book by Laura Jane Williams and probably my favourite. The premise was novel and not what I expected. I was a big fan of the two timelines and thought it was well executed. I enjoyed the supporting characters and thought it was a nice touch that their stories altered slightly in each timeline also. However, there were times I got a bit mixed up between which events had happened in which timeline regarding these sub-plots.
At times I felt the Mike timeline dragged on slightly, but that may be because I was more intrigued by the Noah timeline and rooting for him. While, I predicted the ultimate outcome fairly early on, I found myself rooting for him regardless, which is the sign of good writing.
I read the last quarter pretty much in one sitting, as the pace picked up quite a bit and I think the shorter chapters added nicely to the pacing.
I enjoyed the overall message of the book, that what’s for you won’t pass you, which was a comforting note to end on and fit well with the tone of the book.
With thanks to Netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is a nice sliding doors/alternate timeline romcom from LJW. I enjoyed the crossovers between the two different realities and the premise but I struggled to really care about Becca as a protagonist. Not my favourite set of characters but I always like LJWs writing style.
Becca is a hairstylist in her own salon in her mid thirties and she's finally ready to settle down and find Mr Right. After a manifestation session in the salon she chooses to manifest the love of her life and not long after she gets a text from her ex. Is this a sign?
We follow two different timelines - one where Becca rekindles things with her ex boyfriend, and another where she blocks his attempt to get in touch and instead starts up a relationship with a famous author. In both narratives we see Becca and her suitors' relationships develop, and ultimately looks at whether fate and destiny really play a part in finding romantic happiness.
I actually couldn't figure out who I should root for in this one for a while because both options seemed good for Becca. The banter was absolutely hilarious and I couldn't help but adore Becca's brilliant friends.

There's nothing very adventurous or unique about the book, it's a very simple fluffy romance book. Very little smut or spice, just a woman trying to sort out her love life. A perfect holiday or beach read.
