I'm not yet ready to discuss how fucking sad this makes me feel. Sadthinkful, if you will. I expected to feel bummed out sometimes, but this differentiates itself from other dystopian pieces by being the absolute bleakest shit of all time. Like, there were turns in the story where I physically felt my heart just crush and drop while reading. Anyway, exceptionally good literature, but you already knew that.

I would have loved to have read this book when it first came out to see what my reaction would have been then compared to now. Since we are much more aware of surveillance and social conditioning, a lot of the ideas were not shocking to me. I also found the leadup to the main events drawn-out and unnecessary. What was surprising to me is how relevant many of the topics are today.

Dentro de todo estuvo muy bien, me gustó la construcción de mundo y el personaje de O'Brien fue para mí el mejor, pero Julia fue tan poco memorable, como esos largos párrafos hablando de política que me llegaron a aburrir, pero dentro de todo fue un buen libro, especialmente la 3ra parte, 

donde sinceramente no me estaba detalles de la tortura

y por algún motivo me decepcionó el protagonista al final, pero me imagino que más tenía sentido que ocurriera.
