Totally worth the wait! Karigan's grappling with her mental health and PTSD felt authentic and I'm glad that wasn't brushed under the rug.
Not sure how I feel about her and Zachary and concerned about what book 8 will bring + the gods telling her that future has suffering unlike what she has experienced until now...
I was also surprised by some characters (Connely!? Beryl not following through and her demise, Mapstone!!) and Karigan's added titles...overall big fan, can't wait till the next one.

This felt like it was getting back on track for the main over all plot of the series. I enjoyed this book a lot and devoured it in a few days.
I got the audiobook and thoroughly enjoyed it I’ll probably end up getting the rest of the series in audio book to listen to again. This is my favourite series and I am so glad I got to enjoy it again. As per usual the end left me with a longing to read more

OMG finally! It's been a minute since I read these books and sometimes the writing didn't seem as good as I remember but the STORY! Lots of action to keep me interested and it didn't get bogged down with the characters I cared less about-they had just enough time to continue other plots that I'm assuming will come to the front of the story in the next book. I'm not sure how I feel about how they left the romance... We'll see. But for other parts the author seems to finally be drawing some distant plot points together.

Ok, I will finish this eventually, but it's the last one written so far, and I can't watch Kerrigan have horrible things happen to her yet more without any resolution.
Let her be happy, for the love of god 😭😭😭. I'll finish it eventually
