This book kept me engaged and such but there were several things that just rubbed me the wrong way. One being the author tried to casually throw in the line “ pharmacists were lining customers with so much oxycodone that there’d be at least two ODs by morning”. This line itself seems to me like the author doesn’t know anything about pharmaceuticals or the pharmacy or what pharmacist do. This is just a very strange weird uneducated opinion. The whole book also talks ill on Greek life especially fraternities which also seemed to be the authors standpoint and point of view of the main character but there wasn’t any legitimate reason until the end when you found out why the main character didn’t like Greek life. And quite honestly I don’t think the author planned for that to be the reason until it just was.  I felt like this book wasn’t planned out in advance it just kind of happened which I understand sometimes that’s the way the books are written and that’s fine but it felt like hazing was just kind of thrown in there randomly and that was towards the last third of the book and then you get to the last paragraph of the book and realize that the author is trying to spread awareness of hazing through this fictional book even though the murder itself didn’t have to do with that. I wish there were reflections back to her past which there really weren’t and I also wish there were more clues and hints thrown out throughout the whole thing instead you just had little chunks here in there where the author is like oh I’m going to make this happen and everything just felt random and chaotic. I wouldn’t say it was a boring read at all. I just wish there were more clues and more of a guessing game throughout it. Instead said you have no idea who it could be and the person who did it comes out of nowhere.
