This was the third book, and I still like Nico the best. That's it. Not much to say about Ronan and Mila to be frank here. The book was bearable at the least.

I would have shot Ronan, hands DOWN. Mila’s a tougher woman than me bc that man took the phrase “hot then cold” to a whole nuther level. I lost count of the number of times I would have flung myself off a cliff if I was rejected so suddenly and so violently as she was OVER and OVER. That’s the only reason this wasn’t a 5 star read for me. But bonus animal companion with a tragic back story!!!

I give this book a 4.30/5. I think this has been my favorite book out of the series. I love the undeniable lust and frustration Ronan and Mila both feel towards another from the beginning. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I think part of the ending was stupid. Mila’s father just walking away when she asked and not starting a war or trying to kill Ronan, even though he legit thought he decapitated his other son, made no sense. Like no evil mafia man who sex trafficked girl would just be like “oops I lost! Have my daughter! I’ll move on from that and for killing my son” and let Ronan get away with it. Also, since Ronan did get away clean, then why tf did he take four months to come back to mila??? Like there was legit not a single threat to them lol. Also idk why but it’s so hard for me to envision a blonde girl wearing yellow and it looking good LOL

Spoiler Summary:
Christian’s brother Ronan, is known as Moscow’s devil. Mila’s dad misses her birthday due to being in Russia so she somehow sneaks away from her body guard Ivan, and flies to Russia lol. She goes to this one house and they look at her frightened, thinking that she is her mother (who she doesn’t know) but was a famous opera singer who was also crazy and evil. So she gets kicked out and almost raped in the street but she runs into a restaurant which is Ronan’s and he takes care of her as she recovers from her concussion. He starts to half woo her by taking her to eat and buying her things and she kisses him in the hallway. She develops a crush on him. Then as she goes to fly back home since everyone’s mad at her, Ronan kidnaps her. He ties her naked to his guest room bed, but also keeps her there instead of the basement, feeds her vegan food, and after a while let’s her roam free around the house. She is there as collateral because the deal is her dad will trade his life for her freedom. And even tho he agrees quickly, Ronan prolongs the exchange. They fight, they kiss, she throws tea at his face. But then when she gets poisoned, he forces her to puke it out and is worried. Then after he takes her virginity, she holds a gun up to him but she felt guilty. She accidentally pulled the trigger but it was empty and he was so taken aback and mad that he threw her outside in the cold with the dogs. He couldn’t even bare to see her out there for more than 15 mins so then he brings her back in and cuddles her and says I’m sorry for the first time since he was a kid. Since this, their relationship progresses and he still has many hot and cold moments but really cares for her. When his old whore Nadia exposed the exchange is tomorrow, she says bye to Khaos, the crazy dog that she loves. At the very small exchange scene, it was a set up planned by the dad and there was an explosion and Mila jumped in front of a bullet for Ronan. He gets mad at her and says he wouldn’t want to live without her so that would be a waste of a death. he also threatens to send Khaos to the pound if she dies (she’s a big hippie vegan) Then Ronan and the dad just sit there for three days waiting for her to wake?? Like okay. Then she does and after hearing how her dad killed her mom and trafficked girls she says she doesn’t want him in her life and he says okay and walks away(???). Then Ronan says this isn’t goodbye but sends her to america and comes back in four months to make her his wife and they live happily ever after. Like okay then. Sloppy ending but I loved the rest.

Fun moments:

“Jesus Christ.” With a frustrated noise like he was in pain, he released my hair. “I’ve Stockholm syndromed you.”

He doesn’t go down on girls except for her, and even did it after he broke her hymen and was bleeding

His staff poisoned her and he shoved his fingers down her throat to puke

I loved the cameos from Gianna and Christian and the Kat dynamic with her uncle Ronan

4.5

Omg this is the story about Christian's brother, Ronan Markov. Has a revenge to his enemy. So he kidnapped his daughter's enemy named Mila Mikhailov(She's so innocent, and cute, and a fan of yellow colour which annoyed him). This book is disturbing, but not too much. There's a thing that i dont like because he's an abusive. Every chapter of this book is full of argument and harassment. But he care for her tho, idk why i like him instead. Thank God he's just a fictional character

i felt it was really rushed at the end especially the part where Ronan meets Alexei in order to exchange his daughter for him
Also i did not see much of Ronan's side especially i his backstory andworkstyle. I would also apply the same case to Mila's mom and why the dad killed her
