Author is problematic...do with that what you will...
I did not like this book. I hate age gap romances especially when the male lead keeps talking about how young she is like shut up. That just was not for me and the fact he recorded her without her permission so he could blackmail her dad. and the kidnapping...this book was just not for me. I know it's supposed to be a dark mafia romance but all it was was dark mafia...I felt no love for them. least favorite made men couple.

This is my favorite book out of three books. I’m quite a little upset about no epilogue about Ronan and Mila like another two books did. But that’s fine, I will come up with one on my own haha.
Definitely adore the relationship and I like how it’s little longer book than another two. It’s more about Ronan and Mila than another two books was involving some kind of marriage to someone else or engaged to.
I think my book happened to have typo unless author and editor didn’t fix it. Christian’s name was switching to name Kristian. I noticed the switch several times which is hilarious!

I wish I could like this book more but Ronan doesn't do it for me. I only really like the last 5 chapters.
That being said I understand how other people like it. It just wasnt for me.

It took me a bit to get into this books, but once i did i was hooked. Def not for everyone, search your trigger warnings, but for sure fun. I started with his books, so i want to read the first 2.

Well darn. I was so looking forward to this book. Most of the reviews I saw said this was their favorite of the three. I disagree. Of the three, this was my least favorite. The story was totally unrealistic -- We are in Russia, Ronan is a 32 year old Russian Bratva leader with an abusive past, but he acts like an impulsive, petulant child, not the leader of the largest Bratva in Russia. Mila is a 20 year old BLONDE American and is as clueless and oblivious as a 14 year old in her speach and actions. I do not like it when the heroine is portrayed as a stupid female. That is my biggest complaint about this book.
I think this author is a fabulous writer, I honestly do. The story had so much potential, but I feel like she was trying to push this story in a dark(er) direction, yet kept it so light, brainless and unbelievable that it was frustrating.
I wanted the romance the first two books had. I wanted the sexual tension, the banter, the undeniable chemisty that the first two books had. This book felt like it was in a totally different world. It didn't have the romance, but it also didn't step over the line to dark. I felt like it was in limbo trying to decide where to go.
Examples of what I didn't like
1. Mila is a 20 year old virgin, she attacked and almost raped, yet a day later is is naked and humping Ronan, who is fully dressed, trying to orgasim for the first time with a man. What, a day after almost being raped? How do you get over that so fast?
2. Mila pulls a thorn out of Khaos' foot (a mean dog who bites her) and then he's mysteriously her best friend and protector, sleeping in her bed at night. I did like the dog though.
2. When Ronan rapes her, and he does later taking her virginity, she just forgives him. No emotional distress over losing something you have held on to for 20 years.
3. Where is the possessive, obsessive, over-the-top, hot as hades Ronan in this story? I can take a little softness, but his childish tantrums and hot and cold had me groaning in frustration. I needed Nico and Kristian hotness.
I will say that the writing is good. And I know that a lot of readers really like this book, so this is just my take on the story. I kept thinking and hoping that it would gain momentum, and I didn't hate it, but I just couldn't get past what felt like a dim-witted FMC. It just frustrated me because the first two books were so good and I knew this author could have made this one good if she would just have used the talents she has with wordsmithing sexual tension, and developed characters that were fierce, fiesty, intense and passionate.
One of the things I did love was Yulia....
So 3 stars even though it was not a favorite of mine.

#1: The Sweetest Oblivion — Nico & Elena ↠ 5 stars Loved the sexual tension and chemistry, couldn't put it down. One of my favorites.
#2: The Maddest Obsession — Christian & Gianna ↠ 4 stars Not the sexual tension like book one, but loved the banter, that Christian fell first and Gianna was a very colorful, lovable heroine.
#3: The Darkest Temptation — Ronan x Mila ↠ 3 stars Oblivious, immature herione, push-over Hero, story just too unrealistic.

I hope y'all read this with Google translate in hand bc man I was more occupied translating than reading lol.
Jokes apart, it was a funny ride, this man is really morally black in my humble opinion. Some stuff he did to her just doesn't sit right with me but oh well that's dark romance
