In terms of being a sapphic romance: love love love love. In terms of a book overall? Just okay. The writing was very light and fun, but not overly simple. Some of the plot was just hard for me to follow. How quickly she confesses the vision and everyone just believing her, the way she described the love interest the whole time but like didn’t know she had a crush on her, and how loving and perfect the Magnussen family was. But being set at a summer camp healed my inner child and I was jealous of them.
A plot hole is that this was a single, special adult weekend the owners put on but regardless the event hall still had a full built out bar?? If it’s for children why the bar?
And I feel like there were call backs to things the narrator told us throughout the story but they were either too forgettable in themselves or just written in a very forgettable way, cuz a few times I was like when did discuss this?
And also another book about being lost in your 30s, but much more successfully done than remarkably bright creatures.
I would still recommend tho 3.5/3.75

A bit predictable, loved the adult summer camp vibe. Cute but nothing ground breaking. Feel good mushy that I wanted.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the unique setting, a way to encompass personal history with new growth.
Excesive time jumps. Too many unnecessary characters and settings that didn't add to the plot. The book could be 50% shorter.
I did like the narrator.
