I read this in one sitting!

The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop is the sequel to Fannie Flagg’s Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. It Focuses on Buddy (Ruth’s son) and shows us what became of him. I loved getting to see the next generation’s of this family. My absolute favorite part of this book though is technically a spoiler so I can’t say but it was definitely something I ever would have thought would happen. While this is Buddy’s story it also gives us a look into other characters lives after the first book. So worth the wait!

I highly recommend reading Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe before you read this.

Cute re-visit to Whistle Stop. It was fun to touch base with the characters from Fried Green Tomatoes and dive back into the past as well as see them in the present. Great wrap up ending.

Listened to this one. I love Fannie Flagg and could listen to her read her grocery lists. If you read and enjoyed Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, then you definitely need to pick this up. It was like catching up with old friends.

Thanks to Netgalley for my copy. One of my favorite books was Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe so when I saw this book I was ecstatic. When you love a book and the characters feel like family you want to know what happens after the book ends. The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop lets us back into the lives of the people of Whistle Stop. I'm so glad that Buddy Jr married and had a daughter and that Idgie grew to a ripe old age. I was thrilled with the ending and what Evelyn and Ruthie did for Buddie!
