This was such a cute sequel!! It definitely lived up to the original, even all these years after it was written. I loved it.
The plot is jumpy. Not much detail in the writing. Very matter of fact.
I cried 4 times. Would have been 5, but I was in public at the time.

The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop by Fannie Flagg, a follow up of all the characters from Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. I loved everything about this book, from the updates on all my characters to the warm fuzzies I get from every book Flagg writes. Perfect antidote for 2020 blues.

Thus gave me "Big Fish" vibes. It was so cute and made me feel lots of emotions. My mom gave me this book to read and actually wrote her initials and the date she finished it in the cover of the book. It felt like the perfect little detail for this book and now I'm gonna add my own initials below hers.
Oh, okay. Turns out I hate this Southern charm of yours.
Delightful. Not so much plot wise, but more like sitting down and catching up with old friends. A welcome respite from all of the frustrations of life in 2020.
