Another 4.5, even skewing a bit higher because the fat positivity and body hair affirmation was lovely but the careful inclusion of adoption and attachment trauma was even better. As with Dade's other books, this one is SPICY so be warned but it's also nice to read a romance wherein any toxicity is largely countered and the MCs are both fat.

If you haven't read much romance you might like this, but this is otherwise a pretty standard entry into the genre. Sometimes a romance is good enough that I can overlook that the two lovers just need to talk to each other to resolve whatever the central issue is between them, but this is not one of them. Also, everything drags on too long: every conversation, the filming, the "will they, won't they", the chats with castmates, internal monologues, everything. All the Feels is better.

Very body positive and sex positive.

“Some emotions needed to be acknowledged. Others could remain private.”

This is my first book by Olivia Dade because I didn’t realize how connected this book is to Spoiler Alert & All The Feels. However, with that said, it will not be my last book by Olivia Dade because I fell in love with her writing and characters so quickly that I was able to finish this book in five days, and that’s a record for me!

Really the only thing I didn’t like in this book, which I know is common in romance books in general from my understanding, is the third-act breakup. However it only lasted like a chapter and a half so I just have to deal with it. Other than that I loved this journey of these two plus size characters being in love and not being afraid of it. Part of me just wished the tension went on just a few chapters longer for my own enjoyment lol.

I also liked how old the characters were because I’ve yet to read many books where the characters were past their mid twenties, let alone in their thirties! But my favorite character has to be the train guy who left the comment on the derailment video. I actually scream-laughed at that.

Adding in the fanfiction and text chats were a fun touch too and (because I’m now almost done All The Feels at the time of writing this) I like that it connects all the characters together and the interconnected stories.

A cute story about 2 actors that fall for each other after a one night stand.

I was absolutely obcessed with the first half of this and literally could not put it down - sadly it petered (hehe pun) out a bit in the second half/last quarter and while I still enjoyed it I think I just found it to be too long

MMC started bothering me in chapter 1 when he said having sex with a woman who wasn’t completely hairless made him feel primal and it got worse from there. Gave him a few chapters and I can’t do it anymore. I was really excited about this book too.

I got tired of spite reading this book. It is lacking all of the charm of Spoiler Alert and All the Feels. I'm not a fan of a six year time jump within the first 200 pages. Fans of Olivia Dade can skip this one.
