If you haven't read much romance you might like this, but this is otherwise a pretty standard entry into the genre. Sometimes a romance is good enough that I can overlook that the two lovers just need to talk to each other to resolve whatever the central issue is between them, but this is not one of them. Also, everything drags on too long: every conversation, the filming, the "will they, won't they", the chats with castmates, internal monologues, everything. All the Feels is better.

Very body positive and sex positive.

i'm not sure if this is my least favorite of the series or not but i definitely know it wasn't my favorite. i relistened to the first like 20% 3-4 times because i just kept getting pulled out of the story, and that should have honestly been my sign to just DNF the book. while there were moments that i laughed or swooned, i just felt like the story didn't really go anywhere until like the 40% mark and then we were all happy up until the like 90% mark.... like tf?? anyways, it had good moments but wasn't a fave of mine.

⚠️: fatphobia, body shaming, death of parent, abandonment, grief, infidelity

I was absolutely obcessed with the first half of this and literally could not put it down - sadly it petered (hehe pun) out a bit in the second half/last quarter and while I still enjoyed it I think I just found it to be too long

I loved this and I don't care if it had flaws because I didn't notice them due to my pure joy in the reading experience. Another entry in my small, treasured collection of romances with two fat leads.

Not my favorite of the series. The time span made for weird pacing and I found the conflict forced. But I loved the banter and the loving found family dynamics.

"But I’m not you, Peter. I need people I love around me every day to be happy."

I enjoyed the first two books of the series, which is kind of a surprise for me considering just how much smut is involved in both books. I think this has a lot to do with the way Olivia Dade writes her stories and creates her characters. There is just something about the characters in the Spoiler Alert books that makes it easy to connect to them, and the banter is always brilliant. Book number three is no different. Ship Wrecked features not one, but two fat main characters this time around, and I love the show of body positivity and the fact that we actually have a fat male character (which you don't see often). I am grateful for the warning about the VERY steamy start of Ship Wrecked though, because holy cow! I had to skimread more than once, because there is a LOT of smut involved considering this is basically a six-year-long slowburn romance. Somehow I don't mind the sexy scenes too much with these books though, and this is thanks to the characters and banter. I enjoyed spending time with Maria and Peter, and while I would loved to have seen their connection grow more up close and without that huge gap in the middle, as a whole it was still satisfying. It was also great to see the rest of the gang again, and the humor was spot on for me.
