Couldn't truly get through the whole thing, the timeline is not believable - 6 years of forced proximity but they didn't do anything about it, yet they didn't dated anyone else and then they are all in and half of a book to go... The ending was predictable.
The whole thing was a bit too descriptive and with no real plot

I think for me this was my least favorite of the three but that was because Maria and Peter were so separated from the rest of the cast, and that was what I enjoyed most about the other books. Still, it's fun, it's easy, it's got fat people falling in love and fandom, like, whatever, I'm going to like it.

A fun read, though for most of the book I was screaming, NEVER DATE CIS MEN
Olivia Dade’s writing is so captivating and intriguing.
I have loved the plus size and mental health rep in this series. Peter, like Miles in Spoiler Alert is a sweetheart.
I don’t really care for Maria that much and she comes off to me as arrogant. I also liked the scenery of Sweden as that I a place I’ve never been too.
The thing that takes away from the plot is all the text message conversations. This book would have been 200 pages shorter without them included. Also as I loved that fan fiction writer myself i enjoyed in Spoiler Alert was intriguing but as All The Feels and this book went a long it became very cringey to me.
Overall rating of series 3 stars
Spoiler Alert 4 Stars
All The Feels 2.5 stars
Shipwrecked 4.0

I rarely write reviews and I hardly ever DNF a book. The overwhelming desire to do the latter is causing me to do the former because I have some feelings. I wanted to stop reading this book about half way in but forced myself to finish - at a fast, skimming pace.
The premise was promising but the execution was lacking. What I disliked:
-Was the six year time jump truly necessary? Nothing I despise more than wasted time, and boy did they waste it. We didn't even learn that much about the characters in that time. All the opportunities on an isolated island just floating out to sea.
-The order and pacing of the book was very strange. Using text conversations isn't always the best way to reveal character motivation.
- A conversation would be in progress and a character would go on a multi-page inner monologue and I would forget what the conversation between characters had been about.
-The reason for the near break up at the end was just ridiculous. One actor can't understand that another actor might need to work at a different location for a period of time? For their job.
- I can't remember what else made me mad at the moment and I don't want to get mean, but the repetitive shaking of the jar of pickled herring was just stupid.
One positive: the attempt at body positivity. But every time the characters were referred to as "fat people" that just kind of went out the window for me.

This rating is a tough decision. Before the last third, I was in 5 star land, sky high.
Then I hit thethird act breakup . I'm normally a defendant of this trope. In romance books where the relationship is a character of its own, there aren't many ways to complete a proper story arc. But this book is the time I say, should've just skipped it.
Who cares what is proper? There is nothing wrong with a cozy, low stakes book with no devastating drama in it. I was hooked on their story on their personalities and life experiences alone. Totally personal preference here, but I think the book would have benefitted from the two of them waffling and a slow burn decision period, than the drama-Llama we got.
Olivia Dade is a brilliant writer and I will definitely check out more of her work.
