I liked the characters at first, and I love a fake dating enemies to lovers plot, but they got so annoying and melodramatic as the book went on.

Not the biggest fan of the way this author writes. Like every other sentence was a metaphor -and not a good one either. Like, give it up bro. "My heart was beating like a horse running down a burning racetrack." Just say "my heart was beating out of my chest." Like???? Maybe romances aren't for me? Or maybe just this author isn't for me.

That your father won't release your (30 year old woman) trust fund unless you get married--and that he's allowed to do that--is actually crazy loco. But you know what? I'm willing to suspend my disbelief.

A bit annoyed that
Natalie decided to give up her whole New York financier dream for a man she hated three weeks prior but whatever. She found ~acceptance~ and ~belonging~ and ~love~ or some inane shit like that

Also, I'm pretty sure Tessa Bailey has a knee fetish. Secretly Yours was full of mentions of Hallie's "dirty knees." And knees make more than a couple guest appearances in Unfortunately Yours, too. Icky.

I love the banter, LOVE the banter, and the spice is great. There’s something deeply likable about Natalie’s character. Her motivations make sense to me and her bad ass-ness comes through.

I didn’t hate this. I just got so bored. This book was way too friken long and it only covered the span of what like 2 weeks? If that! (Not including epilogue). I also dislike the tiny tiny girl large large man shit. And omg this book did not stop going on about the size of August. Like sorry how big is he that he can’t find clothes or socks that fit?

I’m saying all of that I did enjoy their banter and I actually really liked their arguments and they way they communicated to resolve them. I also think that the marriage of convenience trope was so well executed.
