I liked this. I came into it with no preconceptions, and I think the author did a great job of writing crazy (I mean that in a very positive way). I was surprised several times at the direction the story took, and ultimately, I was satisfied that I read it. Well-done for a first novel!

Suspenseful, sure, but...wow, what a shallow protagonist who turns out to be a total sociopath, psychopath? Something-path. I don't know there was character development as much as there was suspense story that had a fairly reasonable explanation though incredibly unfulfilling ending...like why the hell didn't they raze the house at the end?! Or punch out windows at the very least? Either way, I have to hand it to the author - I read the whole thing.
I liked the book. I thought it was an interesting read. I thought the twists were interesting and the ending was not what I was expecting.

Wow, what a fantastic book! It was almost impossible for me to put this down. It’s creepy, a little scary and very engaging. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can’t recommend this book enough!
A twisty slow burn that left me wanting a little bit more…. It was definitely hard to watch Sarah unravel and I was SO worried about the cat at pretty much all times, but there were moments when I really had to suspend disbelief (would she really act that way? Would no one really step in at that point?). However, the end was kind of a shocker, and the author did a great job getting you there with Sarah’s increasingly bizarre incidents and actions along the way.
