Although this juvenile graphic novel's title references the Incredibles 2 movie, this is a standalone story that is set in the same time period. It imagines the family into a new situation, facing a new threat with lots of thematically interesting messages about our fast-paced, high-tech world. I enjoyed the engaging and twisty plot, and the author nailed the family interactions. I could hear the dialogue in their voices, and I laughed a lot over funny lines. I really enjoyed this, and would recommend it to both children and adults.

I was pretty critical of issue #1, because it set stories up, but didn't go far enough to be satisfying. Issue #2 starts bringing some of the payoff for those stories, and has guaranteed that I'll be looking for #3!
