Just an enjoyable light read.
See below my assorted thoughts while reading this book:
-I may have read these books out of order, but man I love this little town.
-GRUMY SUNSHINE GRUMPY SUNSHINE GRUMPY SUNSHINE!!!
- Small town, fisherman and charm out the wazoo.
-It's not a hot take, but everything Emily Henry writes is good and this is not overrated.
-The steamy scene is a little cringey. Update: A lot cringey. Some of this gives me the ick.
-Did I sob? That's my business (but full disclosure: yes).
I quite liked it overall. Have no concrete thoughts. And thought the audio ok narration was lovely.

Hmmm… I was promised “Schitt’s Creek-inspired” I was promised a “main character who is exactly like Alexis”. Not what I got at all… this was almost a carbon copy of The Simple Wild and I didn’t like that book either.
I also didn’t quite get why Hannah was there in the first place (other than setting up the next book of course). She goes with Piper for her to not be alone but right away Piper always does everything on her own… she meets their grandmother and there is never a scene of Piper telling her that or a scene of Hannah and Opal together. Hannah has no personality whatsoever, all we know about her is that she likes Vinyls, great set up really…
