There were a couple confusing chapters near the end that were a little hard to follow. Lots of side characters mixed together in my head - either there were too many to remember or they weren’t memorable enough to stick out. Some explanations of the bridge were hard to follow as someone unfamiliar with how bridges are built, so diagrams/pictures would have been helpful. I didn’t feel very invested in the characters as I normally I am.

I learned more about bridge building than I expected. Not a bad read, but major relationships were fabricated. Overall, I was expecting something more historical and less fictional.
