it's been years since I read this book, and I still remember many things and I hold it close to my heart.

i had a great time with this memoir. i think my favorite aspect, outside of habib's ability to immerse you fully in her writing, is how she discussed how many queer spaces are still not safe spaces for people of color. this isn't something i've seen discussed in great detail really, and i like that that was included.
