An interesting read. Read most of it in one sitting in the ER. Really strongly reminded me of the virgin suicides, this almost true crime retelling of an incident that scarred a town. A very short novel, some of the characters didn't feel too fleshed out to me, I also struggled to differentiate their names, completely my problem as an English speaking reader. Didn't love it, but I found myself quite engaged by it and was thinking about it for some time afterwards. Worth the read should you stumble upon it. Keen to read his other work.

lo leí para una clase en español y inglés. las dos versiones. no hace falta decir que la versión española/original es mejor. la versión inglesa tiene unas palabras y frases raras. si se puede sugiero que lo leas en español pero unos de nosotros, incluyéndome, no podemos leer rápido en español a tiempo para nuestras clases
