3 1/2 stars. Like Princess of the Midnight Ball, I found this book entertaining and compelling. However, like its predecessor, I also thought that the conclusion was rather abrupt and many of the details were rather unclear and haphazard.

Better than the first, but still fell short for me in a lot of places. The insta-love wasn't so immediate, but I didn't like how the romance aspect was handled, personally.

A fun twist on the oft-used Cinderella story, where Cinderella is not quite the sweet girl she usually seems. While the views on the original fairy tale felt fresh, the story felt a little rushed and compressed due to the fact the book actually tells two stories. However, the story was still fun and exciting enough that I stayed up far too late reading in order to finish the story.

A somewhat dark retelling of the Cinderella story that is captivating and original.

Would have definitely given it closer to a 4 or 5 star rating if the ending had been a bit more solid.

Wow. This is everything a sequel can be. Princess Poppy tries to trick Ellen's "godmother" so that she can marry the prince--but Ellen's okay with it. She proves to be a great friend: even having hot glass melted onto her feet to make gorgeous shoes for the masked ball. I loved Princess of Glass. You should read it!
