Deals with a ton of gender and body dismorphia, and shows that just because someone is trans doesn't mean they always make the best decisions for the whole community.

I thought this book was a fun read. Zen is a charming character to cheer for, and I liked how the narration was written to give readers a close look at her racing mind. A few times I felt like the writing was awkward, especially in the first chapter, but overall I felt like the style was well suited to the character. #LGBTQ #MiddleGrade
๐ The gist ๐: Zen deals with the social pressures of middle school with the added pressure of gender dysphoria and grief. When a hacker attacks vulnerable groups through the school website, Zen puts her strong computer skills to work!
๐Representation๐ trans mc, orphan mc, bipoc sc, gender neutral sc, pronoun use, Muslim sc
๐ For readers looking for ๐: a charming middle school read, diverse fiction, books dealing with gender dysphoria or grief, computer wizard, gaming
