Deals with a ton of gender and body dismorphia, and shows that just because someone is trans doesn't mean they always make the best decisions for the whole community.

I thought this book was a fun read. Zen is a charming character to cheer for, and I liked how the narration was written to give readers a close look at her racing mind. A few times I felt like the writing was awkward, especially in the first chapter, but overall I felt like the style was well suited to the character. #LGBTQ #MiddleGrade

๐Ÿ“š The gist ๐Ÿ“š: Zen deals with the social pressures of middle school with the added pressure of gender dysphoria and grief. When a hacker attacks vulnerable groups through the school website, Zen puts her strong computer skills to work!

๐Ÿ“’Representation๐Ÿ“’ trans mc, orphan mc, bipoc sc, gender neutral sc, pronoun use, Muslim sc

๐Ÿ’• For readers looking for ๐Ÿ’•: a charming middle school read, diverse fiction, books dealing with gender dysphoria or grief, computer wizard, gaming
