Run and Hide. That's so not my Style ~ Yelena
Me after reading this book: *WOW*...can't get enough:

Maria V. Snyder has done it again. I loved even the smallest detail in this installation. My favorite OTP power couple was in ripping form and I could not get enough of them. Snyder sets the bar in how romances should be written. Our leads are strong and badasss, whilst still make you swoon and fangirl over there timeless love. Valek and Yelena is everything
Another thing that was refreshing about this read was the introduction of Janco's POV. I love his personality so much in the Study trilogy that I'm was pleasantly surprise to read the storyline from his perspective. The introduction of the new character Onora was also refreshing and I hope to ( fingers crossed ) see something develop between them.
I can't wait for book two

Good. But not as good as the original series. Maybe it was because there were too many twists and turns and threads to follow and maybe because Valek & Yelena were apart.
I loved Poison Study so much that I start each book in the series prepared to be let down. It hasn't happened yet. I think this one might be my favorite yet. The writing style is altered, so that we not only get Yelena's narration, but in alternating chapters that of my two favorite characters, Valek and Janco. This made the story more complete and gave a deeper understanding of the characters. So glad that the series continued.
I was so happy for more Yelena!! Little more adult than the first 3 study books.
What I Loved
I think just about everything will fit under this section. I really missed Yelena and Valek and I’m really glad that I got to go on another adventure with them. You know how sometimes when a series gets longer or when an author adds another series it can get long and tedious? That doesn’t happen here. Especially if you read the three series in the correct order. You don’t have to read them in order but I think it really helps. I could read about Yelena and Valek all the time because they’re just such great characters and there’s so much we still don’t know about them!
I’m going to take a brief pause in my review to explain this series order to you. Basically there’s three series (so far) that are all based in the same fantasy world. The first series (Study Trilogy) is where we first meet Yelena and Valek (plus others). That series is three books long. After that there’s the Glass Trilogy where we follow Opal. That nice part about this series is that even though we’re following a different character, we still see Yelena around sometimes and stuff that happened in the first series has affected things in this series. This book is a part of the Soulfinders Trilogy which is the last one as of right now. We’re following Yelena and Valek again but we also see Opal from the second series! All of these series can be read by themselves or in a different order but I HIGHLY recommend you read them in the order I just mentioned. It’ll be SO much better.
I also love how this plot is so different from the other books! We’ve met other characters along the way in the previous series but now they actually get to be a part of this one! It’s nice because everyone trusts each other so they can all work together effectively and this group of people always gets into trouble. There’s more people our beloved characters can rely on but there’s just as many as they can’t trust. What I really love about this series is how some things that happened in the previous series have carried over. The characters haven’t forgotten what has happened and it’s mentioned sometimes. I hate it when previous books are basically forgotten and never mentioned again.
I was especially excited because we saw a lot of Valek’s back story and he’s one of my favourite characters. If you’ve read the previous series then you have that to look forward to!!
It’s hard for me to review this book because I don’t even want to give you the smallest detail. It’s so much better going into it blind! I can tell you that I loved it from page one and couldn’t put it down the entire time.
What I Didn't Love
The only thing I could possibly put under this section is the fact that the whole series didn’t come out all at once so I could binge it all. It’s that addicting.
Who I'd Recommend To
I’d honestly recommend this to anyone because I love it so much. Keep in mind that the previous two series were young adult but this one is more of a new adult series since our characters have aged along with us! I think fantasy lovers will especially love this one because it combines all the best parts of a fantasy book.

Yelena, the Liaison between Ixia and Sitia gets shot by an arrow laced with poison while on the way to a cabin to rendezvous with Valek. She thought she expelled all the poison, but then the next day she has violent bouts of cold and fever. When the seizures are done, she finds out she can no longer access her powers. Searching for some answers, she heads to the Citadel to get advice from the master Magicians.
Meanwhile Valek is called back to Ixia where the Commander sends him on a mission to close down smuggling routes between Ixia and Sitia. While undercover, Valek finds out that the Commander may no longer trust him.
Lastly we see from Janco's point of view as he helps to uncover the smuggling routes while working with a new assassin, a young girl named Onora who wants to take Valek's job.
I think this is a close second to Poison Study for me. I loved digging into Valek's past and seeing how he assassinated all of the royals. I also loved the different point of views from Yelena, Valek, and Janco. Can't wait to read more! On to [b:Night Study|16130759|Night Study (Soulfinders #2; Study #5)|Maria V. I hate that it took me so long to finally read this book even though I know this series is so amazing, but I finally read it and now I’m a happy girl.
I won’t hide the fact that I was worried when I heard Maria was continuing the series. It’s not that I fear that it wouldn’t be good, but I have my couples and I didn’t want anything to happen to them so when the series was done, I could be breath of relief, but then, BAM, she continues and everything can happen.
But this first book of the renewal of the series just had everything that us fans of the series could enjoy. I won’t lie that sometimes, I didn’t know where to set my mind on. A lot was happening and a lot of things didn’t make sense until they did; I loved that. I seriously kept trying to solve their problems before they did and of course, my assumptions never seemed right most of the times. Whenever something was answered, I was more often than not, surprised.
Yelena and Valek. What do I have to say about them? I love them so much and even if they spent most of the book apart trying to solve the problems that were sent their way, I still love them. No matter what, their relationship is never the focus of the books, but it still reflects in everything they do without making us feel like they are over feeding us with their love. Does it make sense? Just read the book and you’ll know what I mean hahaha
Ari and Janco. God I love those guys. I was really happy we got Janco’s point of view in this book, but I wouldn’t mind having Ari’s point of view, but maybe in the next two books that could happen. Anyways, these two always make this book entertaining and I was happy to see them again.
Onora is a nice new addition to the story. I liked her personality and you have to love the banter between her and Janco. I don’t know if something could happen between these two but I would love it very much. I don’t know if I trust her completely, but she shows a lot of potential and I hope that she doesn’t do me wrong in the next books.
Enemies. Some old, some new and some unexpected. But any good hero needs an enemy or enemies or else, this wouldn’t be a Yelena & Valek’s adventure. Weirdly, I don’t know which one of these enemies is the worse at the moment.
And last but not least, the ending. Wow and that ending. Now, I just want the next book and see what will happen next. I need to know. So much could happen and it could take so many directions from there and I’m really curious to see how it will go. I hate that it’s a trilogy because it means we won’t have the ending of that series before 2017 and that alone could kill me.
