there’s nothing more that i love than reading through the eyes of some very questionable and psychotic beings. this book was definitely something i didn’t expect, considering that the only premises i had was that it involved elements of fantasy and dark academia. but the ideas of powers and how that can transform people?? and studying the ways in which a villain doesn’t seem like a villain if others are doing WAY worse? everything was so interesting and kept me hooked the entire time! i will say the ending felt a bit rushed, but i think it was written in that way to set up the plot for the next book—which i WILL be reading by the way!! i recommend this to anyone who loves villain stories/fantasy. 4/5 stars

I'm so shocked by how much I loved this!

I randomly picked this book up from my shelf and I had so much fun! Victor and Eli made for one of the most interesting rivalries I've ever read. I annotated this book to hell and back. And I don't even know where to start with this book but just know that this book is amazing with an incredible cast of characters. 

This book will give you friendship, jealousy, and what it means to be a villain. Know that if you pick up this book prepare to go on an insane ride.

Great writing, fast-paced and I always love short chapters in a book. The fact that there were time jumps each chapter did not bother me at all and was good for the story. After reading the first 15% or so I left it for a while, but after picking it up again I could not put it down and finished the book quite fast. Not a 5 star book tho, but really close.
