i think fucking death is not my type of kink. i just thought this book was weird but not that type of weird that makes me enjoy a book. i wanted this to be over tbh because even tho the juicy parts where written very well as well as the love letters, everything else was boring and repetitive.

It was just a bit meh.
Sadly not much for any story progression, felt very slow and dragged out. Even the ending wasn’t that exciting or shocking enough to make me want to read book two.
It’s called death’s obsession and that’s it. He’s death and he’s beyond obsessed with a girl who should’ve died but he wouldn’t let that happen.
The fmc is losing her marbles because she should’ve died but didn’t and now is seeing and hearing things that aren’t there … but maybe it’s real

I think this book was such a good mix of loss, grief, overcoming trauma, death, depression, learning to love oneself with a side of smut and dark romance. i never expected death to be so sweet and knowing all the right words to say. but omg he was so so gone for her. i truly enjoyed this novella. it was fast-paced and easy to get into. surprisingly, you get attached and i was honestly interested in their relationship.
i definitely recommend if you're looking for an easy fall read with death as a love interest.
p.s: also that dedication slayeddddd

The book is a quick read. I didn't particularly enjoy the characters, but the male lead was someone portrayed as caring (cooks, cleans, and basically makes her difficult life comfortable). I was not fond of the first spicy scene since I felt it lacked consent from the female lead.
